Professional Bio

Pete Rosenboro serves as Assistant Commissioner of Welcome Centers for the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. He began his service in state government in 1998, and has served in multiple roles during his tenure. Rosenboro oversees the department’s 16 Welcome Centers, which are a first point of contact for nearly 15 million visitors annually. Under his watch, Tennessee Welcome Centers have earned numerous accolades including national recognition by Keep America Beautiful for efforts to prevent and reduce litter through the Cigarette Litter Prevention Program. Each Welcome Center is green certified with energy-efficient practices in place to minimize environmental impact. Under Rosenboro’s leadership, Tennessee Welcome Centers continue to revolutionize and redefine the guest experience for visitors. With a commitment to innovation and extended visitors stays, his team has partnered with industry leaders including WAZE, Tennessee Highway Safety Office, Keep Tennessee Beautiful and Ford Blue Oval.
